GRAMBLING, La. – The Grambling State University bowling team recently participated in the 2020 SWAC West Round Up in Dallas and will soon head to Pensacola, Fla., to partake in the 2020 FAMU Rattler Invitational.

“Overall I felt that we could have done much better,” said head coach Barbara Lewis. “At one moment our captain Ariel Henderson was sixteenth in ranking, so we need to rally behind her.”

The Lady Tigers finished seventh overall with an average score of 126.8. At the roundup, Henderson bowled a team-high 209 for the Lady Tigers while teammate Lataya Bullock bowled a 195.

“It was a pleasure to have Grambling’s Senior Woman Administrator, Wanda Currie, stop by to support our team in Dallas,” said Coach Lewis. “Also, our Lady Tigers were fortunate enough to get a chance to meet The National Bowling Association’s (TNBA) queen, Wanda Parker, who is an extraordinary bowler and a leader on the national stage in the bowling community.”
